Terms & Conditions

reservations are not confirmed until a completed booking form and deposit fee has been received by us. all/Any Payments should be made to Rainbow Vacations Ltd.  Deposits for UK Tours are £40 per person, European Tours including Ireland are £50 per person. Provisional bookings by phone or email will be held for 10 days pending receipt of the signed booking form and deposit. Should any ticketed venue be included in the tours, the ticket cost may be payable at the time of booking. The cost will be printed on the itinerary. Upon receipt of your deposit by us we shall send you a confirmation email/letter. The invoice for the balance will be sent to you approximately 8 weeks before the date of departure. Every person making a booking on behalf of another  passenger or group of passengers warrants and confirms that he/she has the authority of that passenger/group and that each such passenger agrees to be bound by our terms and conditions.

Rainbow Vacations Ltd gives notice that all arrangements made by us are on the condition that we shall not be liable for any death, injury or damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may be caused by persons or conditions beyond our control. We accept no responsibility for any losses or additional expense due to delays or charges in air, rod, rail, sea or other services, strike, war, weather, government or customs or police intervention or other such happenings amounting to Force Majeure.

Any cancellation must be notified to us in writing by the person who made the booking. If you cancel your holiday: More than 42 days prior to the start of your holiday you will only be charged your deposit. Between 42 and 30 days you will be charged 50% of the holiday cost. Between 30 and 14 days, you will be charged 75% of your holiday. Less than 14 days before the start of your holiday or on or after the commencement of the holiday you will be charged the full holiday cost. Should this occur, we advise you to seek recompense from your travel insurer. Note. We do realise that unforeseen circumstances may arise meaning that you have to cancel your holiday. With this in mind, we strongly advise you take out appropriate Travel/Holiday Insurance at the time of booking.       

 

rainbow Vacations Ltd complies with Statutory Package Travel Regulations regarding all clients monies held until the holiday has been delivered, this is where sufficient funds are held to repatriate clients, if required in the event of operational failure.  

Scheduled departures/holidays may also be cancelled up to four weeks in advance of the departure date if insufficient passenger numbers have not been reached. if this is the case we will endeavour to offer an alternative replacement holiday or a full refund of monies paid. 

Persons, whether an individual or party booking the holiday, are responsible for the whole of fee he/she has undertaken to pay and must pay the balance at 6 weeks before the start of the holiday period. If for any reason, the person cancels the booking this must be in writing and he/she remains responsible for the whole of the fee  (Subject to clause 3). It may be possible for you to transfer your booking to another individual with our prior agreement. Otherwise we will make every effort to resell the accommodation and if able to do so will refund the deposit and any money paid minus any administration cost and any other expenses incurred. Again. in view of the above conditions we strongly recommend that you consider a separate Holiday Cancellation Insurance policy, which is available from several independent companies and brokers. 

We will ensure any coach used by us holds the full liability insurance policy as necessary to cover any incident or injury to passengers whilst on board to a maximum of £10,000,000 in respect of any one incident. Our insurance does not cover passengers who are away from the coach. We do not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to passengers personal belongings, Property or valuables whilst on board or in transit, so please check your own household/travel insurance policy to make sure that your adequately covered in this respect.

No passengers under the age of 18 shall be carried

No animals to be carried with the exception of Registered Assistance Dogs (pet passport will be required for travel outside the UK).

No drugs, alcohol nor illegal substances or other unlawful substances or goods or materials are permitted on board the vehicle and the passenger(s)shall free and release the vehicle and company and staff from any liabilities or responsibility arising out of breach of this condition. 

In the unlikely event that you have a complaint please report it immediately to a member of our staff so we may deal with it promptly and hopefully, to your satisfaction. If this unable to be rectified at the time then any issue must be reported in writing to the office within 14 days of occurrence. If you do not report any incident whilst on holiday this will have an effect on any future claim that you may make. Any legal action or proceedings arising out of or connected with this contract shall be governed by the UK/European Law. Rainbow Vcations Ltd will aim to respond within 7 days of the written complaint. 

Subject to consultation we reserve the right to vary the holiday in any way we consider preferable due to adverse weather or any other conditions. It is a fundamental booking condition that taking part in this sort of holiday that there is an element of flexibility. The itineraries stated on our website and literature are indictive only and not a guarantee that a particular route will be followed or a place reached. You must acknowledge that delays and alterations and their results, such as inconvenience and discomfort, are possible where unforeseen circumstances arise. Ultimate decisions regarding the safety of the vehicle, and it’s passengers  and/or staff on board rest with the driver.

All passengers must be able to walk up at least 4 steps unaided to board the coach and must wear seatbelts whilst the vehicle is in transit, im accordance with UK/EC Regulations-10/01. We recommend the WC on the coach is only used as an Emergency facility. The coach will make regular comfort stops. On board facilities, such as hot drinks machine may only be operated by company staff. Personal items may be unable to be stowed in the refrigerated facility on board. medical supplies may be accommodated.

We operate a policy of  No Smoking on board all  our vehicles, the majority of our hotels used also operate a No Smoking policy, although some European hotels may still allow smoking in rooms/area, should you require a smoking room please ask if this available at the hotel.

Rainbow Vacations Ltd reserve the right to hire or operate vehicles from 3rd parties when necessary.

Some hotels that we use. may not provide adequate facilities for guests with mobility problems or other disabilities, if you or a member of your party has has any special needs requirements please notify us prior to making your booking, so we may endeavour to make satisfactory arrangements for yourself or any member of your group.

A choice of menu for evening dinner is usually available and a full cooked English breakfast is offered on all British tours. The meals will either be table service or buffet style and include tea/coffee after dinner. On European tours, however dinner is usually a 3 course meal or buffet style, with drinks charged at extra cost, breakfast is a continental buffet style. If you have any allergens or dietary needs than please inform us at the time of booking and we will endeavour to make the required arrangements with the hotel but this cannot be guaranteed.

Some of the hotels used provide additional entertainment, where this is part of the programme details will be shown on the printed itinerary, where it is not stated it may still be available but is at the discretion of the hotel and is not guaranteed.

When you book with us you accept all responsibility for any loss or damage caused by you or any member of your party. Payment for any such damage or loss must be made at the time to the accommodation owner or manager or other supplier. If you fail to do so, you must indemnify us against any claims (Including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions. We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion or in the opinion of any other persons in authority you are behaving in such a way to cause or likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to any third party or damage to property, we reserve the right to terminate your arrangements without notice. In this situation your total booking with us, including your return transport arrangements will immediately cease and we will not be responsible for paying any costs, expenses, refunds or compensation.

The company reserves the right to change any details contained within this brochure and/or to meet the requirements of the business. All tours/locations/timings/prices may be subject to change at the discretion of the company, all contents of this publication is subject to our own copyright 2020/2021 and E&O.
